Rainproof canopy generator sets are widely used for temporary outdoor power supply, emergency power supply, and remote power supply. Installation must ensure equipment safety, rainproof performance, and long-term stability. The following are standard installation steps and precautions.
1. Site Selection and Foundation Preparation
First, select a flat, sturdy, and well-ventilated installation location away from flammable materials, corrosive gases, and areas with frequent human activity. The ground should be leveled and compacted. For soft soil, a concrete foundation (recommended thickness ≥ 15 cm) should be poured to prevent the risk of the unit sinking during operation. Steel plates or expansion bolts should be embedded at the canopy bracket fixing points to withstand the unit's weight and wind and rain loads.
2. Rainproof Canopy Construction
The rainproof canopy is recommended to have a steel frame with a galvanized steel or polycarbonate sheet roof. The canopy height should meet the unit's heat dissipation requirements (the top of the canopy should be ≥ 50 cm from the top of the unit). During installation, ensure the scaffolding is level. Secure the four corners to the ground with expansion bolts. Use sealing strips or waterproof tape at the joints to prevent rainwater seepage. Removable wind shields can be installed around the perimeter of the scaffolding to ensure a balanced ventilation and rain protection.

3. Generator Installation and Wiring
Hoist the generator set to the designated location within the scaffolding. Secure the base with shock-absorbing pads (rubber or spring materials) to reduce vibration transmission. Fuel lines and cables must be protected through conduit to prevent exposure and aging. When wiring, strictly follow electrical specifications, ensuring a ground resistance of ≤4Ω to ensure the reliability of the leakage protection device.
4. Commissioning and Maintenance
After installation, perform no-load and load tests to check the scaffolding's sealing, generator operating noise, and temperature rise. Routine maintenance includes regularly clearing debris from the scaffolding, inspecting brackets for rust, and ensuring that the vents are unobstructed.
Proper installation of scaffolded generator sets significantly improves equipment durability and safety, providing users with stable and reliable power supply.
